Well done to everyone with their first blogging session. (weB LOG)
Comments have to be checked before they are published. This is called moderation.
As with any online interaction you must follow the SMART rules.
- S. SAFE: keep safe by being careful not to give out personal information
- M. MEETING: if someone contacts you via a blog that you don’t know don’t meet them unless parents/carers are with you or give you permission
- A. ACCEPTING: accepting requests from people you don’t know may be dangerous or the files you download from them may contain viruses or nasty messages
- R. RELIABLE: information you find on the internet may not be true or someone may be lying about who they are
- T. TELL: tell a parent, carer or trusted adult if you or a friend feel uncomfortable or worried.
Keep alert and follow the 5 SMART rules (online version with quiz here )
